Australia 4wd Raster Map collection on DVD

With the growing use of in-car navigation Hema Maps has produced a collection of 4WD raster maps on DVD. This DVD is based on images of Hema's regional maps and is compatible with most Windows based navigational programs. If the user has a GPS, a laptop or personal organiser and a matching navigational program, then the Australia 4WD DVD will provide in-car navigation. The Australia 4WD Map Collection includes more than 30 maps from the regional and Great Desert Tracks series as well as all of the informational text and photos from the maps, plus the entire 513 map Geoscience Raster Map Series at 1:250 000. The software can be installed with the Oziexplorer Lite software to view the maps straight from your computer, or it can be used with compatible GIS or GPS tracking software in OZF2 and ECW formats. Oziexplorer Lite software is also included on the DVD.
Other features of the DVD include: Calculate route distances, bearings and positions; Customise maps with text labels; Print maps or excerts to your specifications, create your own map features, link map positions to external files.
The Hema maps are supplied in OZF2 (Oziexplorer) and ECW file formats while the Geoscience Raster 250K maps are supplied in ECW format only. ECWs are compatible with the Oziexplorer map software range. The software on this disk is compatible with Windows based PCs as well as Macs running Virtual PC. The maps are also compatible with all ECW compatible GPS/GIS software.
